A Fresh Tomorrow With No Mistakes

Today I was able to catch up with a good fitness buddy. She herself has lost over 100 lbs and looks FABULOUS!! I was taking some time to vent my weight loss frustration and mistakes to her.

Tomorrow is always fresh with no mistakes in it. – Leah Segedie

That one comment really got me thinking. Yesterday is in the past. I made lots of mistakes like not paying attention to what I ate and drank, never writing any of it down, I honestly don’t think I got in 30 minutes of good movement. That was yesterday. Lots of mistakes. Today is today- already noon and oh the mistakes I have made and going to make. Tomorrow. It isn’t here yet and I have every chance of doing things right! So (pictured above) here is my midsection. It’s full of mistakes – and tomorrow I hope it is just one less mistake ridden!

Get Healthy, Get Living
Day Three

  • Breakfast:

Didn’t really have an actual breakfast. But if your first food intake is counted as breakfast then it would be a couple of Ritz crackers, American cheese, and some fat-free deli turkey. Totally healthy….um in Bart Simpson’s world maybe!

  • Lunch:

A bowl of Kashi Strawberry Fields, 2 pieces of toast, and 16 oz of H2O. Being at the end of our groceries I really don’t have many choices. So I did the best I could with what we had.

  • Dinner:

A late dinner – ended up being spaghetti with a sausage sauce. Pretty good and I had WAY more than I should as I’m feeling stuffed. Trying to drink some H20 right now and flush my system.

  • Snack:

A handful…or two of Honey Mustard pretzels – SOOOO not the best choice but on the positive it wasn’t a box of snack cakes!

  • Exercise:

Nothing…seriously! I don’t know where the day goes. I wake up with amazing intentions and next thing I know it’s 9 pm and I’m exhausted and feel more like it’s 3 am!

People Choice Awards Red Carpet

Leah Segedie, left and Audrey McClellan on the People's Choice Red Carpet 2010

I have to share this picture with you all. Leah Segedie and Audrey McClellan were on the Red Carpet at the People’s Choice Awards!

Don’t they look amazing!

Looking ahead I hope I have the same awe in myself when I look at pictures like this of myself and marvel at my accomplishments and the healthy temple I have created for my Lord and Savior.

In talking with Leah I know she is amazed and actually has to take double takes even triple takes of herself as she can’t believe how amazing she looks in her silky dress. (And we all know how unforgiving silk can be!!)

I have to admit that I was really down recently about applying for the Mamavation campaign twice – and loosing twice. Talking with Leah really helped pick up my spirit and remind me that I don’t need to be the Mamavation Mom to lose weight. I just need to DO IT and take any support I can get. It’s not about how I do things it’s just that I actually do them and make the effort.

Please follow my Get Healthy, Get Living mission here and help me stay on track! If you don’t see me posting daily progress reports I give you permission now to kick my butt and call me out on Twitter, Facebook, or right here on my site. I NEED you!

Hey girl! Thanks for the shout-out! XXOO

I’m recommending you try to get 5 minutes of exercise 4x per week. Only five minutes. More is a bonus. Let’s set you up for success. I just want you to get used to it right now. Creating habits is what is really important…and making them easy changes. When you get in the habit of reaching your goals instead of not making them, it will get easier. Does that make any sense?

Thanks Leah! Everyone can do 5 minutes – even me! So today that is my goal just 5 minutes TODAY. I’ll worry about tomorrow … tomorrow.

While being a Mamavation Mom would be an awesome thing (I know cuz I want it to), the point is that we support each other. Everyone is here to help you out. YOU CAN DO IT!!!

I’d love to be a Mamavation Mom…but to be the biggest loser would be even better. Losing weight and getting to a healthy curve is the ultimate prize!

That is my motto: “Tomorrow is another day.” The only thing you can do is move forward and do not ever beat yourself up. You can do this.

What a great motto. Although at times when I’m in the heat of a horrible day and I think about tomorrow being another day it’s sad. Another day like today – UGH! But onward – no beating of myself!! :) I really appreciate your support.
