I’m totally loving the warm air, the summer breeze, and the late nights drinking my ice cold H2O (I’m a nursing mom- I don’t down the bottles all the time!). One thing I”m not digging on is the parents letting their kids go out without proper protection. I’m talking sunscreen and sunglasses! So important to our children’s skin and eye health.

Now, if you are like me. Your kids hate wearing sunglasses and it’s hard to find some that really protect and look cool. Thankfully, Baby Banz offered to let me and my boys try out their line of glasses. I’m so happy they did cause it has totally changed my view on sun protection.

Let’s start with the Baby Banz as that is the name of the company! My 16 month old is one of those babies that the second you try to put a hat on him, he reaches up and yanks it off. That’s one reason why I love the Baby Banz. They have a wonderful strap that allows you to put the glasses on the baby’s head and they stay! Now I have noticed if I try to put the glasses on the baby while we are still inside or where it’s very shaded he will not leave them. I don’t blame him. When you are where sunglasses inside or in heavily shaded areas it’s dark! I have noticed that I was putting them on him too tight as the top of the glasses pressed on him and well…watch this!

Kids Banz are the slightly more grown up version of Baby Banz. Perfect for my little Giggles, 3. He can be wearing his “cool blue” camo glasses but with the way he jumps around the strap helps hold them on his head. Love it! I also love that they protect from UVA and UVB rays. Both damaging and harmful, especially to young eyes. Check this out –

Now, let’s grow up just a little more – jBanz. These are the young adult version of Baby Banz and boy does my Dinker, 5 think he’s hot stuff in these! My favorite part, as mentioned in the video, is the design of the side pieces. Nice and wide to protect from sun coming in from the side. This is one area that almost all sunglasses fall short on. Plus the jBanz have these “really really cool” cases!
