Dinker or Stinker Review: First impressions are meant to be proven wrong! When I first was looking at the little bottle of All Natural Shaving Oil I have to admit I looked at my legs then back at the little bottle thinking “yeah right! this is going to be gone in one shave!” It does say right on the package “Lasts up to 100 shaves”. So perhaps they mean facial shaving for men- there is no way I can shave my big ole legs with this little bottle 100 times.
So up to the bathroom I went and I did have back up shaving cream with me as I was really skeptical. I put about 7 drops on my lower legs rubbed it all around. As I’m sniffing the bottle I noticed there honestly isn’t a scent. Grabbed my razor and away we went. WOW. Those few drops really did work. My leg was smooth with just one pass of the razor. The other thing is there wasn’t a ton of shaving cream clogging up the blades of the razor- woohoo!
When I was done and toweled off I decided to try the Nick Stick on a previous cut that had not healed and I had now just reopened it. On the packaging and their website you will notice that one of the benefits they list is not having to use tissue paper. Thank goodness I’m not the only one that walks around in the mornings with little tiny pieces of toilet paper stuck to my legs!
So I opened up the bottle and this time this was a roll on. I just rolled it right onto the area and woohoo done- no more bleeding. Again this didn’t really have any scent either.
So either they are completely odorless or I just am lacking in one of my senses.
Having a wonderful husband comes in handy as I ‘made’ him try the oil out as well. Of course when asking him about it he didn’t have much to say but he did say he was really surprised that just a few drops of the oil all over his face did what it did. He got the CLOSEST shave he has ever gotten and his face was yes smooth as our 10 month old baby’s bottom. Seriously!
He said that this is what he plans on using to shave from now on. He got a close shave and he also doesn’t dig the shaving cream clogging up the blades and the endless swishing in the sink to get it all off so you can move onto the next section of your face.
Rating 1-10: 10
Yes a 10! All around this is one of the BEST personal care products I have EVER tried. The fact that my husband actually had something good to say about it is even more amazing as well.

Crafting For The Holidays
The gifts I love the most are the handmade gifts. I love the uniqueness of it all. It’s so nice to know that someone really put time and effort into the gift. It’s something you cherish instead of tossing in the closet.
We try as much as possible to go handmade for Christmas as well as any gift giving time. I always have the girls make cards for people and they seem to really enjoy that the card was made for them. Much better than spending $5.00 on a piece of paper with words written by someone else.
We have 2 great crafting books for you as a giveaway today! You can use them for inspiration in creating some lasting gifts that can even be passed down as family heirlooms.
50 Sensational Crochet Afghans & Throws by Bobbie Matela and Quilt Block Leftovers: Clever Uses for Spare Squares by Sarah Phillips.
And the prize goes to….

“I’m not sure what we’ll be making this year, but we’ve done blankets and pillows in the past, wax critters, soaps, candles, magnets, and some others. We love to make things for others!” Stacie A
It’s Almost Christmas Time!
Brrrrr….it’s getting cold out there! The holidays are coming at us so quickly. Is it just me, or did this year fly by super fast? I think as I get older that time moves more quickly. Thanksgiving is next week, then Christmas will soon follow.
Have you started your shopping? I would like to get mine done as soon as possible. I say every year that I want to have it done by October and then every year I am out 2 days before Christmas finishing up. UGH…I am not a person that likes crowds and I should probably do all of my shopping on Amazon.
We have a giveaway today that I know you will enjoy. A Christmas Story that every family should own. I don’t know about you, but every Christmas Eve we open one present. We have done this for as long as I can remember growing up. I think this would be the perfect one to open on Christmas Eve!
The Night Before Christmas! Want to own this book? Sure you do! If you don’t win it in the giveaway here, then I have linked to Amazon where you can purchase it. They currently have New and Used editions of this book available. You could start a tradition of reading this story every Christmas Eve with your family, and pass it down to your grown children in time.
And the winner is….
