The aluminum, reusable bottle craze is well all the craze right now. The reason why – because we the people are finally realizing what we are doing to our planet. I do my part – I use a Brita Riviera Water Pitcher and we have a collection of reusable bottles around our house that get used daily. Bottled water is NOT welcome in our home – nor when we are away on trips. I even fill my reusable water bottles directly from the *gasp* tap!

Watch this fun short video clip and find out what country your plastic water bottles are being sent to – let’s just say many are not staying here. America has a knack for trying to solve other countries problems and now we are dumping our garbage problem back on them! Crazy I know!

Now that you are totally grossed out and ready to overhaul your town – let’s start with your own home. Check out The Soft Landing for a collection of the best BPA free reusable water bottles, sippy cups and feeding products. These are not just for the kids – it’s for mom, dad and the college-aged big bro or sis!

Let’s do our part in cutting down on the plastic bottle waste by making our own “bottled water”. We can also be eco-friendly and purchase products made from recycled plastic bottles and even plastic grocery bags (which is a whole ‘nother post in itself!).

You can see all of the recommended reusable water bottles & sippy cups by visiting www.TheSoftLanding.com – don’t forget to check out their blog for great eco tips and giveaways every Tuesday!

Fluoridated water doesn’t concern you? Or do you filter? I do!

It is really very interesting debate.Bottles are the main component of solid waste and as we know it is made from plastic it’s decomposition is not possible.Plastic is very dangerous to our environment. It is good idea that we can make our own bottled water at our home.I really appreciate this effort.

  3. Jon Wade says:

Most tap water is perfectly safe, and often tap water contains MORE minerals than “mineral water” as the legal limits for mineral in tap water in many countries (esp. the UK) are higher than the mineral levels found in natural mineral water.
