Chic Monkey Market Tote {Review} #Giveaway

With summer now in full swing Farmer’s Markets are busting at the seams with fresh produce, smoked meats, handmade goods, and more.

Hunter, Tucker and I braved the stormy weather last Saturday and hit up the Mars Farmer’s Market with our Market Tote from Chic Monkey Boutique in tow.

Thoughts on the Market Tote

I’ve never used a Market Tote before and it wasn’t until after I took my photos for this post (after using the tote in public many times) that I realized that no my tote does not have an odd set of two different handles. Nope!

If you notice in the photo there is a shorter silver handle that has the blue fabric on it. Those are the actual handles. The longer ones go down into the tote supporting it so it doesn’t collapse when you set it down.

Yep, I now know they really were laughing at us at the Farmer’s Market. Thinking oh those silly people! Hunter and I were having issues carrying the tote and trying to figure out how to get all those “handles” into our small hands.

Anyway….

Enough of that embarrassment. What I do love about this tote is the little mesh pockets on each end on the interior of the tote. They aren’t really that little of pockets either. We found it a great place to stash my car keys and a few of the small items we picked up. It was also a great place to slip all the business cards we collected along the way from the artisans.

I also love the embroidery on it with my initials. It’s done very nicely. I’ve received custom pieces before and there have been odd breaks in the stitching and the lines are uneven. Not so on these. It’s clean, solid, and curved in just the right places.

Ways to Use Your Market Tote

If you’ve never used a Market Tote before they are great as they collapse down flat yet unlike a reusable shopping bag they are sturdy for holding things like fresh vegetables, glass bottles of maple syrup, and more in a more secure fashion.

So anything that you use reusable shopping bags you can use a market tote – like all those books from the library, the bottles of club soda to go with your fresh mint, and fill it up with all the back-to-school specials!
