Comment on Breastfeeding in Public: What is Your Opinion? by jr911

I have absolutely no problem with mothers breastfeeding in public, as long as it's not done indecently. If you can't hang your boob out in public any other day of the week, why would you think it's okay just because you're breastfeeding? Decency is decency and I don't want to see someone else's boob, nor do I want my children to see it either.
I often breastfed in public, but I was always under a tiny blanket or nursing cover. I did it in church, walking down the aisle of a grocery store, wherever. If you can't see the private area of the woman, then what business is it of yours what she's doing under that blanket (obviously as long as it's legal). I think there's a way to feed your infant while still respecting other's, and that's exactly what we need to do.
So many people who want to make a spectacle of themselves make it hard on the rest of us, and we're not just talking about breastfeeding either. Extreme couponers who want to go overboard and border on the illegal make normal people using coupons look like the devil. Same goes for breastfeeding in public...the few who choose to make a spectacle make the rest of us look bad.

Thank you for this article. We have an infantino carrier and a moby wrap, and the infantino lets the legs hang straight down. I appreciate this information.

I agree 110%!! We have been a Veggie family for many years now. Our oldest is 11 and still loves them. Our little one is 5 and of COURSE loves his Veggies! As a VERY openly and proudly Christian family, we are thrilled that there are videos like these out there. We do not have cable. There is just absolutely nothing positive about television now. And if you do find something decent to watch, it's the commercials that will get you! So, we opted to buy stuff like- Bob the Builder and other very decent dvds. But, being that they are still from a 'secular' world, you still deal with stuff like Halloween and other ungodly things, from time to time. With Veggie Tales, you can feel SAFE leaving the room, knowing nothing indecent will be shown in front of their precious tiny eyes. And THAT is a true blessing in this day and time!!!! I praise the Lord for Veggies!!!♥♥♥
