Outside Fun
I’m a victim of it – toy ads. How many times have I looked at my kids thinking “oh I wish they had this toy” then they would have something to do. How many times I have walked up and down the isle looking at all the toys thinking “oh here’s a great wooden one” that is made with reclaimed woods and is good for the environment.
I know one thing that I do not think often enough about, even in these bright and sunny days, outside fun! There are so many places within walking distance that I can take my kids to play. For example, the backyard is a great place to run and discover. Watching the bugs crawl and the butterflies flutter is a great experience for kids to learn about life and nature.
The sidewalk is a great place to play with magnify glasses and seeing what you can do with them. It even makes a great reusable canvas for whatever your Da Vinci can dream up! Then you take a walk down your sidewalk there are even more wonders that await you – neighbors, community parks, river fronts, playgrounds, and so much more!
Just open your eyes, get off your butt and take a trip outside!
