Homeschool Organization: The Weekly Homeschool Planner

The past month and a half has been a world wind since our family made the decision to become a homeschool family. Every day I have spent time reading, researching, and talking with those that have been there done that in order to get tips and suggestions on where to go from here.

The number one topic that comes up time after time is to keep amazing records and take time to plan for the upcoming week. So I have learned that the key secret to a successful year in homeschooling is not about what curriculum you use, what room you use to educate in, nor how long you spend each day on your studies – the real secret is planning.

I’ll repeat that: The secret to success when homeschooling is planning, planning, planning – then allowing that plan to be set aside in order to have fun learning about the preying mantis you happened upon.
