Get Living TV debuted tonight on Mingle Media TV Network. After a few technical difficulties (oh, the joys of live tv) we were off and running. We asked Priscilla Hedlin, @wheelchairmommy what her number one get living tip was and it’s a great one – get up and just move!

Even if she is sitting on the couch with her kids totally in a slump all it takes is just getting moving out the door and her energy level is boosted. So even if YOU think you just ‘can’t’ do it – try.

Get up, get moving, get living!

Did you know what Priscilla’s first question to the doctors was? Check out the replay below to find out the answer and get to know Priscilla in a whole new way!

Want to win the $100 gift certificate mentioned? All you have to do is leave a comment below with your number one get living tip! For additional entries hop on over to Mingle Media TV Network and check out their ever growing show line up – what looks like one of your new (or current) favorites? We will announce our winner live March 28, 2010 on Get Living TV.
Congratulations to Jill Hayes the winner of the gift certificate!

  1. Great interview~! What is this mingle Media network?
I have heard of Mom TV, but NOT this before. This is a neat network. I will check it out later.
I used to work in a Rehab unit at a hospital–as a CNA, taking care of others–really opens your eyes on what people go through–all stages..LOVED it. I want to be a REhab nurse someday–it is an awesome thing to help people learn to take care of themselves again. What a wonderful attitude Priscilla has! Not all patients are like that.
Blog–I like my blog too! And Twitter of course!!!
Oh Priscilla is AWESOME..What a wonderful mom to interview!

My number get living tip is to EXERCISE and take care of yourself FIRST.
Taking care of yourself is important. Wish I had known about this site before…

  2. Jill Hayes says:

My get living tip is to also get up and get moving by trying to add some exercise in your day – even if it’s just a short walk. Just getting out and walking can make you feel tons better.

  3. Michelle Rosborough says:

Instead a driving a short distance walk instead.

  4. I just wanted to thank Alaina and everyone that watches!

  6. I’m bringing green smoothies into my morning. That way if I don’t have time for anything else, I’ll at least have gotten some healthy into my day.

I’ve really lost my health since Parkers’ birth. It’s just not really dawning on me that if I don’t take care of me, I can’t keep him healthy.

    • Thank you Tammy for stopping by! You know I think ALL mother’s regardless if they have special needs children or not neglect themselves. It’s that mothering instinct to take care of everyone else before ourselves but you said it just right – If you don’t take care of you, then who will take care of him!
