Favorites: Green Living & Weight Loss Support
We all are striving to live healthier, happier lives. I know I try my best to live my life to its full potential, this includes trying to lose weight and connecting with friends.
To me living better means living green and thinking of my impact on this earth and how I can reduce my imprint on it. Here are some ways to help you reach these goals with the help of my favorite blogs :
How To Recycle Almost Anything
from Real Simple: a great magazine that teaches you how to simplify your life and live better. I enjoy going there and reading the articles they have to offer on a variety of topics including tips on how to recycle anything.
Let’s Flex Those Muscles
from Fit Cheerleader: a blog written by my friend Janice [@fitcheerldr], who is such a motivator and gives great advice on how to improve your health and lose weight and even how to do a strength training session and it’s benefits.
How I Keep My House Clean
from Inspired Room: gives the reader an inside look into the homes and DIY projects of the blog writer. Its great to see the photos and content this blog has to offer including great advice on simple ways to keep my house clean.
from Running Rachel: a profile spotlight each Friday on Rachel’s [@RunningRachel] blog. It’s awesome to be motivated by others who have conquered challenges and are making the most of fitness. This FitSpiration highlights one of her friends who motivates her personally.
Natural Cleaning Ideas
from Cajun Joie de Vivre: a wonderful series by Amy Bayliss that includes 17 posts on the reasons why to use eco-friendly products and a number of natural cleaning recipes to make them yourself. I love that the recipes include printable labels and just take a few minutes to make.
Together we can inspire each other to not only live healthy but to also continue to make our carbon footprint smaller! Do you have a website that inspires you to live healthy and green? Share it below in the comments!

Journalist turned blogger, Lorrie Brooks has recently been educating herself on ways to conserve energy in her home. She loves spending time in the great outdoors, but if you throw in a good book and a steaming latte you'll have her walking on air. For seven years and counting, Lorrie's 'day job' is more of a passion as she serves her community as a in-home petsitter. While Lorrie does not have children of her own, she enjoys spending time with her younger cousins and volunteering at her church's Vacation Bible School.
