I have to admit that personally I am a ring sling babywearing mom. There is something about the simplicity that draws me to it. The Belle Baby Carrier has this great simplicity about it that I just love! For those of you familiar with babywearing carriers I’d like to compare this to a cross between a typical backpack style carrier and a Mai Tia carrier. The Belle Baby Carrier is in a sense a fitted Mai Tia carrier.
I received the Organic Earth, which is part of their Belle Pure line to review. This carrier is perfect for those concerned with the environment and the footprint they leave behind. The outside of the carrier is made of a hemp canvas. A caution to those that love their black shirts as this material has a natural tendency to ‘shed’. The inside – the part against the baby – is made from the softest blend of organic cotton, hemp and fuzzy fleece. It’s not too thick either so it’s still the perfect material for summer outings!
As my neighbor tried this carrier with her one-year old daughter she noted how soft the lining was. It was quick for her to put on and she did have it originally on wrong but we consulted the directions and quickly realized she needed to criss-cross the shoulder straps. While her daughter was in the carrier she noted that she felt a little loose. She had removed the optional headrest and I believe while facing chest to chest that you need this headrest. She also should have tightened the straps until she felt that both her and the baby were comfortable and snug.
Overall, this is a beautiful carrier that with it’s natural hemp canvas can go with any outfit. It is simple in design and when used correctly provides direct contact between the baby and parent. Mothers can also nurse discretely using this carrier.

The buckles on the Organic Earth are the same as those used on high-end outdoor backpacks, and the waistbelt rings are durable stainless steel. Wastbelt, shoulder straps and seat are lightly padded.

Well…actually, my children are past the baby wearing stage…but my *sister* has just found out that SHE is expecting! YAY!
So…If I won, I would give this to her! But I must say that baby wearing is a wonderful way to keep your baby snug and close to you while keeping hands free to accomplish other things!
I love that!

I love babywearing because it has kept me sane since the birth of our daughter. She is almost 17 months now and she still loves being worn on hikes and walks in the woods and around the house just before nap time or her bedtime when she is cranky and I still need to get a few things done!

I enjoy wearing my baby when we go for walks. I have a a cotton sling and when I go on long walks it stretches too much and most of the weight is on my shoulders so it get uncomfortable. A carrier like the Belle Baby would be much better for my walks.

This is my first baby so I am excited to keep my baby close to me at all times everywhere I go. At the same time I am not used to having to take a baby everywhere with me and I don’t know the impending stress of always bringing along a little one for daily errands and I think having a baby carrier might help things be a little less hectic as I’m learning to multi-task. Plus, don’t babies look adorable when they are sleeping or smiling at new things in a baby carrier?

Wow – I wish I would have known about these win my twins were little. Love the fact that it’s organic, and it looks like its simple to use.
I love how snugly it seems to fit for both baby and mom! I have about a dozen slings and carriers in my closet. I’ve always preferred them over strollers because they’re so much easier to use and carry around. I’m getting one of these!
