Rookie Moms: Advice For New Moms
Being a mom is tough but being a first time mom can be very overwhelming. We asked Heather and Whitney from Rookie Moms for some advice for our new mom readers.
Rookie Moms attempts to answer the question of what to do with a new baby (and what to do with your SELF) every day. For those days when you have trouble dragging your butt out of bed because you don’t know what you’d do, we have ideas. We invite you to share your ideas with us too.
With winter coming up what is one activity you can recommend?
If you have other friends with you on maternity leave at the same time, we suggest starting a breakfast club, a rotating playdate with coffee and treats for moms.
What is your number one activity that all Rookie Moms must do?
Rule Number One for rookie moms is “get out of the house” because you have to make your own fun. Choose one of our 52 weekly challenges or choose your own adventure of something that can be done with a baby in tow.
What is the one mommy & me activity that you enjoy doing?
There is a postpartum yoga class where we live that is amazing. There are sweet volunteers on hand to soothe fussy babies and the class always includes a couple infant massage techniques.
