Yesterday was April 1st – you know April Fool’s day. I received a call from my one and only baby sister (well, blood related) and she was engaged. I’ve been talking about her getting married for a long time and I honestly didn’t think Justin would ever pop the question. He did- and the ring is beautiful!

So what does this have to do with me? Besides getting a brother, and I’ve always wanted a brother, it’s one more motivational tool for me to CHANGE MY LIFE! I spoke with my mother and she mentioned that her goal is to be in a size 10 by the wedding (sometime in May or June of 2010). Wow, my mom- a grandmother of 3- in a size 10. That will be amazing and wonderful for her and my kids.

It really got me thinking, if my mother who is 30+ years older then me can make the commitment to loose almost 10 dress sizes then why can’t I! It really had me looking at my boys, then down at my rolls. I don’t want to be the mom that is embarrassed by how she looks, the one that sits on the sidelines instead of playing with her kids and being fun.

You know what I want- seriously, I want the feeling that my friend told me about a few months back. She was able to go down the slide at the playground with her daughter. Yes, I want to have the feeling of being able to race my kids down the slide. It’s a simple feat and a complicated one at the same time.

Here’s the honest truth- I am overweight. There I said it. I am only 27 years old. A mother of three beautiful little boys and I weight 258 lbs. Gasp, seeing those numbers in black and white on the screen is almost as hard as seeing them on the scale. Now here is even more shocking numbers for myself. I am a size 1-2x for my shirts and 20-22W for my pants. Can I go cry now?

No, I can’t- I need to finish this post. Get it out in the open then tweet about it so that everyone knows I wrote it so I have some peps keeping me on track. If there is one thing I have learned by watching The Biggest Loser is that you can’t do it on your own- really. You have to have a support team. Be it your family, a trainer screaming in your face, or millions of viewers cheering you on every step of the way.

I need something- besides another gigantic glass of H2O – you to yell at me, tweet me, encourage me- anything!

Please feel free to leave comments here with some of your tips. Keep in mind I have 3 kids- 5, 3, and 1 years old- I have a husband fresh off of spinal surgery, and I do work from home as well as go to college online. So I really do need tips that are easy to follow and FUN cause I get bored easily- I’m like my kids :)

I do know of something that would be FUN – if I had a Wii – EA Sports is launching it’s own challenge with 12 challengers on April 14th. I’ll be following along on the blog and twitter.
