Yes diapers can be expensive. We found that quality prefold diapers matched with quality covers from Mother Ease or other diaper companies ended up costing around $100 for three years worth of diapers. Many spend that much on disposable diapers in a matter of two months it’s the upfront cost that scares most away (in combination of the thought of washing).

I think that it shouldn’t be a problem…covers can be super cheap! You can get a 3 pack of pull- on Gerber covers at WalMart for less than $5….I wouldn’t have a problem getting my own covers if I were an applicant…the diapers are the majority of the expense in my opinion…

I am expecting my second child in June my first is eight years old so it has been a while and a lot has changed in these years I have friends and family with little ones and I know there are so many products on the market designed to make life easier ” I never had a wipee warmer or diaper genie with my first ” but I am totally considering a lot of these products are they worth it and why are there any items you couldn’t live without and why I appreciate any input from the advanced to the old fashioned I’m having a boy if that makes a difference.

The biggest thing that I see is how this would save my family so much money. We have two boys in daipers now. The price on diapers are crazy,and for two babies it’s really crazy!!!!!!!I’m going to seriously look into this.It sounds wonderful.

Disposable nappies are a scourge, a source of serious pollution. I remember a hippie friend of mine who had dug a nappy pit behind her mountain cabin that she eventually covered over and planted a tree on top of when her son was potty trained. That was the best way she could come up with to dispose of them and I must say that the tree she planted has grown really well, really fast! The same goes for the long drop toilet. Once it reaches a certain level it gets covered and a tree planted on top…no fruit trees, I promise!
